Vaulting Lessons
What is Vaulting?
Vaulting is the sport of gymnastics and dance on the back of a moving horse at the walk, trot or canter gait. It's a wonderful way to develop coordination, balance, trust, teamwork, responsibility, self confidence, strength, and creativity while working in harmony with the horse. It is a wonderful supplement to horseback riding as well.
Is Vaulting Safe?
Vaulting is always done in a very controlled environment- in a large circle with soft footing. The horse, trainer and vaulter work as a team, with the trainer controlling the horse at the walk, trot or canter gait, while the vaulter performs moves. Vaulting is documented as the safest of the equestrian sports!
Team practices
Team practices run an hour long and include setting up, stretching, and vaulting on both the stationary vaulting barrel and the horse.
